Everyone loves to hear a skilled musician play and instrument. Interestingly, many musicians first learn to sing before advancing on to other instruments. Singing is genuinely a terrific instrument to start on. It is great for the beginner musician because it is easy to sing for children, it provides a solid foundation for playing any instrument, and, maybe most importantly, it is fun to do. Singing featured in classical music, jazz, blues, rock, folk music, and many other musical genres. Singing can be enjoyed so many different ways – solo performances, in small or large groups, accompanied by other instruments and musicians. Singing can also be performed in many different places-while getting ready for the day, over breakfast, on the morning commute, at playtime, at nap time, in the bath, before bedtime, and numerous other places.
Our instructors at the Chambers Music Studio love giving mommy and me music classes at our Bexley, Ohio studio. We incorporate activities that develop ear-training, steady beat, rhythm, fine and gross motor skills, musicianship, musicality, and proper technique in all our group mommy and me Music Time classes. We also love to use various music games to help strengthen our students’ understanding of music concepts.
