Why Should You Take Drum Lessons?
Everyone loves to hear a skilled musician play the drum. Interestingly, many musicians first learn to play the drum before advancing on to other instruments. The drum is genuinely a terrific instrument to start on. It is great for the beginner musician because it is easy to play for children or those with smaller hands, it provides a solid foundation for playing any instrument, and, maybe most importantly, it is fun to play. The drum is featured in classical music, jazz, blues, rock, folk music, and many other musical genres. The drum can be enjoyed so many different ways – solo performances, accompanied by vocalists, or accompanied by other instruments and musicians.
Our instructors at the Chambers Music Studio love giving drum lessons at our studio. We incorporate sight-reading, ear-training, music history, musicianship, musicality, and proper technique in all our private trumpet classes. We also love to use various music games to help strengthen our students’ understanding of music concepts. Drum students may participate in a wide array of events including, family recitals, nursing home recitals, and more!

About Drum Classes
With a public school music background, owner and instructor Julie Chambers has been teaching private lessons from her home since 2013. She has enjoyed watching her students grow musically, emotionally, and developmentally. She has been committed to offering her students the best private lessons in all of central Ohio. She works with a team of the most gifted instructors which will make your drum lessons a truly special experience. Chambers Music Studio offers its students excellent instruction and a comfortable environment in which to learn. Recognizing that drum lessons offered out of someone’s home can be a bit isolating, Julie collaborated with friends and community leaders to create a community music school that provides a more colloquial setting for drum classes.

Performance Goals For Your Drum Lessons
We’ve all heard that learning music is like learning another language—a beautiful, fun, interesting language. Mastery requires lots of patience, time, and practice. We invite students to participate in any number of educational activities as a means to encourage their enthusiasm and promote their progress. Some students might have an interest in performing amidst the hustle and bustle of a coffee shop or ice cream parlor. Others may prefer formal recitals at a local church or performance hall. Some students enjoy performing alongside other pianists at events like our well-known. There are those students, too, who appreciate critique of their play and choose to perform to an audience of judges. No matter your preference, Chamber Music Studio offers an option that suits your personality and satisfies your performance ambitions.
Other Advantages Of Your Drum Classes
Despite popular belief, drum classes aren’t exclusively for young children. The trumpet can be learned at any time throughout one’s life, from preschool to beyond retirement. Not only does music benefit your physical and mental health, but it also improves early language and literacy development.
