Bexley Voice Student Spotlight: Claire
Claire Merzel is 11 years old and in the 5th grade at Cassingham Elementary. She started taking singing lessons this past summer. Claire was inspired to take music lessons because of her brother and sister, and she wants to join the Bexley Vocal Ensemble like they did. What she enjoys most about singing is how fun it is! Her favorite experience as a musician was how proud she felt to sing “Count On Me” at her first recital. Her goal from her lessons is to be good at singing and to have fun. Claire’s favorite food is ice cream – chocolate fudge brownie and Columbus Crunch specifically and they’re at Johnson’s ice cream in Bexley! Her favorite subject in school is art. Her favorite game to play with family and friends is Uno Attack. A famous person she would like to meet is Cynthia Erivo, who plays Elphaba in Wicked!
