When I first started teaching music in the public school system, my own school was just a random thought. I never imagined how much our community would shape this journey. I was simply a schoolteacher with a passion for music and a dream of sharing that joy with a handful of students.
Thanks to the encouragement of neighbors, parents, and friends, that small beginning has blossomed into something far bigger than I could have dreamed. Today, Chambers Music Studio has three locations across Columbus, employs 20 dedicated teachers and staff, and provides health insurance, training, additional earning opportunities, and support to our team. Together, we’re helping hundreds of students discover creativity, build confidence, and grow through music.
But more than that — we’ve become part of a movement. Music lessons here aren’t just about notes and rhythms. They’re about strengthening families, fostering friendships, and weaving creativity into the fabric of our neighborhoods. Every recital, every Mommy & Me singalong, every lesson, every practice breakthrough is a reflection of how this community has embraced and supported us. Each student in music carries a spark of creativity, resilience, and empathy that has the power to ripple outward — and together, we believe those sparks can save the world.
