Lesson Length Recommendations

At Chambers Music Studio, we believe in providing our students with the time and space necessary to fully explore and develop their musical abilities. Longer lessons allow for more in-depth instruction, focused practice, and the opportunity to tackle complex concepts with greater clarity. By investing in extended sessions, students are better equipped to build a deeper connection with their instrument, improve their skills at a faster rate, and experience a more rewarding and comprehensive music education. Whether preparing for a recital, exploring advanced techniques, or simply deepening their musical understanding, longer lessons are designed to enhance the overall learning experience and support our commitment to fostering each student’s growth.

Why Longer Lessons?
While 30-minute lessons are perfect for shorter attention spans and building foundational skills, we’ve found that longer sessions provide additional time to dive deeper into technique, explore advanced concepts, and develop a stronger connection to the music. Extended lessons offer a more comprehensive experience for students who are ready to tackle more complex challenges. Read more here.

Cancellations and Makeup Lesson

To maintain consistent and quality progress, cancellations with more than 24 hours’ notice are automatically converted into makeup lessons. Cancellations due to teacher illness are also converted. Makeup lessons are used in tandem with regular lessons to continue educational growth.

If a student is unable to attend a scheduled lesson, please contact us at least 24 hours in advance.

Makeup tokens are redeemable within 90 days of the missed lesson and expire at the time of withdrawal. Some group class makeup options are not guaranteed.

Holds and Withdrawals

We’ve found that the most meaningful progress in music comes from steady, ongoing study. Music is a skill that builds week-to-week with consistent guidance and practice. When lessons are paused for long periods, students often lose momentum, confidence, and connection. In order to help our students maintain progress and momentum in their musical journey, we encourage consistent, ongoing study. While we no longer offer lesson holds, we are happy to work with you to reschedule or explore temporary online options when necessary.

For those who need to withdraw, before the year is over (available for the musician plan) please provide 30 days’ written notice to our admin team. Students on Band Leader, Conductor, or Rock Star programs are committed for one year August through July, but can choose to non-renew by July 1st.

Discovery Lessons

Our discovery lessons offer more than just a first meeting—they are a chance for students and families to experience what it feels like to be part of our studio community. During this session, students are encouraged to share their musical interests, dreams, and any previous experience so we can begin tailoring their learning journey from the very start. It’s also an opportunity to get to know the teacher, ask questions, and become comfortable in the lesson environment before making a long-term commitment. We view this first step as a meaningful part of the student’s musical story. Discovery lessons are offered at Musician Plan rates.

Special Programs

Students explore rhythm through African, Caribbean, and Brazilian styles while developing coordination, ensemble skills, and a strong rhythmic foundation. This group class fosters creativity and teamwork with a global musical lens.

Piano Keys Program (All Ages)

A creative and supportive piano class for young beginners. Using games, songs, and exploration, students gain musical fundamentals and build confidence before transitioning into private lessons.

Music Summer Camps

Chambers Music Studio’s summer camps are designed to be an exciting blend of music, creativity, and fun. With themes like Rock Band, Tropical Adventure, and World Drumming, campers will experience hands-on learning, dance, storytelling, and more—culminating in a final performance that showcases their growth and creativity. These camps are a great way for children to learn new skills and make lasting memories in a supportive and joyful environment.

Student Recitals

Performing in a recital enhances growth in private lessons by providing focused goals and feedback application, while also fostering personal growth through increased confidence, public speaking skills, and resilience. There are performance opportunities throughout the year. All students are encouraged to perform in two or more of our recitals each year.

Media Release

Today, we are proud to have expanded into three vibrant and welcoming spaces where music education continues to thrive. As part of our ongoing efforts to share our story and inspire others, we sometimes capture photographs, videos, and audio recordings of our students for promotional or educational purposes. These materials allow us to showcase the incredible progress our students make and share the positive impact of music education with others.
