Bexley Guitar Student Spotlight: Ruby Beeler

We’re excited to recognize Ruby Beeler as our Student of the Month!

Ruby began taking music lessons a little over two years ago, inspired by something she already loved doing: writing songs. She enjoyed creating lyrics, but adding music to the words made her songs feel complete. Music was also something she grew up around, as her dad played guitar, which helped spark her own interest in the instrument.

Today, Ruby’s favorite instrument to play is the guitar, though she would also like to continue improving her skills on the piano.

One of Ruby’s favorite things about making music is the moment when all the different pieces finally come together. Whether she is working on chords, melodies, or a full song, she enjoys being able to create something of her own and hear it take shape.

One of her favorite musical memories so far was learning and performing her first song, “Speak Now” by Taylor Swift. Performing a complete song was an exciting milestone and helped her see just how much she could accomplish as a musician.

Ruby also has a big goal for her guitar playing. She hopes to reach the point where she can simply pick up her guitar and feel comfortable playing whatever she wants. She wants to learn all of her chords and become confident switching between them seamlessly.

Her creativity extends beyond music, too. Ruby’s favorite subject in school is ELA, fitting perfectly with her love of writing and storytelling. If she could meet one famous musician, she would choose Olivia Rodrigo.

When she isn’t making music, Ruby loves her sleepaway camp — especially its grilled cheese and tomato soup! Her favorite places to be are either at sleepaway camp or riding a roller coaster, and one of her favorite games to play is Dizzy Penalties.

Ruby’s creativity, curiosity, and desire to keep challenging herself make her a wonderful student to celebrate.

What instruments do you offer?

We offer a variety of different instruments! You can check which instrument specifically via our lessons page.

How are students placed with a teacher?

Students are placed with a teacher via the Placement form. You will fill out a series of questions pretaining to personality and learning styles, and we use that information to match you with a teacher that bests fit you or your child’s needs and ambitions.

Do you offer beginner lessons?

Yes! At Chambers, we work with all skill levels, everything from beginner to expert.

Do you offer lessons for kids and adults?

Yes! We welcome all students regardless of age or skill level. We offer private lessons, but we also have age specific courses designed for early childhood development, we also have ensemble and group classes that are designed for children and adolescents.
